Baguio City Barangay Elections 2013, Results

The people of Baguio City are waiting for the outcome of Monday’s Baguio City Barangay Elections 2013. Results for the October 28, 2013 Barangay Election are out after poll workers finished counting the ballots manually in 1 to 2 days. Baguio City has a total of 129 barangays. Thus, posting of results to the official website of COMELEC will take for a while.

The City of Baguio is a highly urbanized city located in the province of Benguet. The city has a total land area of 57.51 square kilometers (22.20 sq mi) with a population of 318,676 as of 2010 counts.

Dubbed as the “Summer Capital of the Philippines”, and the “City of Pines”, Baguio City has become the center of business and commerce as well as the center of education in the entire Northern Luzon thereby becoming the seat of government of the Cordillera Administrative Region (C.A.R.).

Baguio City is politically subdivided into 129 barangays with only 1 congressional district.
