The people of Malolos City are waiting for the outcome of Monday’s Malolos City Barangay Elections 2013. Results for the October 28, 2013 Barangay Election are out after poll workers finished counting the ballots manually in 1 to 2 days.

Malolos City has a total of 51 barangays. Thus, posting of results to the official website of COMELEC will take for a while.

Malolos, officially the City of Malolos, is a first class urban component city in the province of Bulacan. It is the capital city of the province of Bulacan as the seat of the provincial government.

The city has a total land area of 67.25 square kilometers (25.97 sq mi). According to the 2010 decennial census, Malolos City has a total population of 234,945 inhabitants.

Malolos City is subdivided into 51 barangays that are spread over a land area of 7,725 hectares (19,090 acres) consisting of agricultural, commercial, industrial, residential, bodies of water, fishponds, marshes and roads.
