Margarita Delos Reyes Cojuangco, Ph. D., candidate for senator, 2013 - United Nationalist Alliance (UNA)

Margarita “Tingting” Delos Reyes Cojuangco, Ph. D., former Tarlac governor from 1992 to 1998, is the aunt of President Noynoy Aquino and one of the 12 senatoriables of UNA (United Nationalist Alliance) of Vice President Jejomar Binay.

She was the President of the Philippine Public Safety College and Presidential Assistant in 2001.

Tingting Cojuangco, as known to many, is currently a columnist of the broadsheet Philippine Star. She was also a former Chairman of the Kabalikat ng Malayang Pilipino (Kampi) party and member of the Council of Philippine Affairs (COPA).

She was part of the Philippine Tatler’s Who’s Who of the Philippines, 2009.

Tingting Cojuangco is the wife of the President of the Philippine Olympic Committee and former Representative, Jose Cojuangco, Jr. and mother to one of the popular equestrians of the country, Mikaela “Mikee” Cojuangco (who is now married to former Representative Dodot Jaworski. Their other children are: Josephine Cojuangco (married to Francisco Javier Guingona), Dr. Liaa Cojuangco Bautista (married to Emmanuel Bautista), Margarita “Mai-mai” Demetria Cojuangco Zini (married to Andrei Zini), and Regina Patricia “China” Jose Delos Reyes Cojuangco.

Known for her humanitarian projects and work among Muslim communities, she has now taken on Gawad Kalinga as her pet philanthropy.
