Alubijid Barangay Elections 2013 was held on Monday, the 28th of October 2013. This election was to elect barangay captain or barangay chairman and seven councilors to fill up elective posts in each barangay. Alubijid, Misamis Oriental is composed of 16 barangays, and hence the registered voters in city had elected 16 barangay captains and 112 barangay councilors.

Alubijid is a 4th class municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental. It has a population of 26,648 people in 6,753 households, according to the 2010 NSO Census.

The name of the municipality, “Alubijid”, pronounced as alubihid due to Spanish accent, is the local term for the hog plum tree.

The Municipality of Alubijid is part of the Metro Cagayan de Oro (Metropolitan Cagayan de Oro).

Alubijid is politically subdivided into 16 barangays.
