Pateros Barangay Elections 2013, Results

Pateros Barangay Elections 2013 will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013. Registered voters of Pateros shall elect 10 barangay captains, and 70 members of the Sangguniang Barangay out of hundreds of candidates in 10 barangays throughout the Lone district of Taguig City-Pateros whose terms start on November 30, 2013.

Dubbed as “A Small Town with a Big Heart”, “Balut Capital of the Philippines”, and “Home of the World Famous Balut”, Pateros is the only municipality and the smallest, both in population and in land area, in Metro Manila. It is known for manufacturing of “alfombra”, a locally-made footwear with a carpet-like fabric on its top surface.

The Municipality of Pateros is bordered by Pasig City to the north, Makati City to the west, and Taguig City to the south.

As of 2010, the Municipality of Pateros has a total population of 64,147 and is considered as the second most densely populated area at around 29 thousand people per square kilometer after Manila.

Pateros is politically subdivided into 10 barangays.
