Quezon City Barangay Elections 2013, Results

Quezon City Barangay Elections 2013 will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013. Registered voters of Quezon City shall elect 142 barangay captains, and 994 members of the Sangguniang Barangay out of thousands of candidates in 142 barangays throughout the six congressional districts of Quezon City whose terms start on November 30, 2013.

Dubbed as the “City of The Stars”, “City of New Horizons”, “New York City of the Asia-Pacific”, and “Philippine City of Asia”, Quezon City is the most populous and richest city in the Philippines.

Quezon City is divided into six districts, in turn subdivided in a total of 142 barangays. These barangays are grouped into four congressional districts, with each district represented by a congressman in the House of Representatives.

The number of barangays per district is: District I, 37; District II, 5; District III, 37; District IV, 38; District V, 14; and District VI, 11; Although District II has the least number of barangays, it is the biggest in land area, including the Novaliches Reservoir.
