Results dribbled in from the Balanga City Barangay Elections 2013 on Monday, October 28, 2013. Hundreds of candidates vying for barangay chairmen or barangay captains and barangay councilors for Sangguniang Barangay posts are awaiting for the official results of the 2013 barangay elections. The entire city of Balanga in the Province of Bataan has a total of 25 barangays. Thus, a need to elect 25 barangay captains and 175 barangay councilors is certain.

Balanga City is a first class city in the province of Bataan, Central Luzon. It is the capital city of Bataan. The city has a population of 87,920 people, according to the 2010 census. It is primarily a residential-agricultural city. It has a total land area of 11,163 hectares (8.13% of Bataan).
