Baldomero Falcone and His Platforms

Baldomero Falcone, senatorial candidate for 2013 - Democratic Party of the Philippines

Baldomero Falcone of Leyte is a business consultant and a 2013 senatorial candidate under the Democratic Party of the Philippines, a political party in the Philippines founded in 2010 by Dr. Ernesto G. Ramos which seeks to be an alternative to traditional politics.

He previously ran for vice president in the 2010 national elections but was unsuccessful because Baldomero Falcone and two other candidates were disqualified by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), saying that they don’t have a political track record to prove their capability to mount a serious campaign.

As a businessman and securitization expert, Baldomero Falcone is the president of Milenium Industrial Commercial Corporation, involved in reclaiming land in Cebu and vice-president of Global Interphase Security Services Provider Inc., a firm that provides foreign assignments to retired officers. He claimed that securitization is his special skill and that this can help increase revenues and decrease unemployment in the country.

If elected, Baldomero Falcone said that would push for this electoral reform to ensure that the rich and the poor have equal chances in winning in an election. He said that the COMELEC should gather all the candidates in one place and give them equal opportunities to campaign. He also suggested the removal pork barrel.

Baldomero Falcone attained his AB Liberal Arts, graduating summa cum laude, at the Sacred Heart University. He took his M.A. in Philosophy at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City and his Master in Business Management at the Asian Institute of Management. Baldomero Falcone is a PhD in Philosophy candidate at the University of the Philippines, Diliman.

Platforms/Advocacy of Baldomero Falcone

OBJECTIVE:
To use a high government position as a fulcrum/legislative leverage to comprehensively improve the lot of the poorest of the poor in Philippine society

“Personal research validated by nationalistic economists have shown that Philippine poverty is only artificially made; knowing how to uncover and remedy this artificially created mischief is my personal crusade, for the sake of so many poor Filipinos and citizens who are forced to break up family, sending wives, mothers or fathers or sons and daughters abroad just to be able to meet basic family needs when in fact our country has so much resources and our people so talented. The fundamental wrong premise whether deliberately or unwittingly anchored on the neck of ordinary Filipinos must be lifted; l, candidate Baldomero Falcone knows how: this is my principal reason to get into this political battle: for God country and co-Filipinos,” Bal Falcone said.
