I didn’t become a nurse to be a babysitter ms villar that is not part of our curriculum, what we learn is how to make sure the patient stays alive and gets better and leaves the hospital to be with their family. you should walk a day or two in a nurses shoes and you will see how dumb your statements are. hope no one votes for you and shame on tou for belittling my profession i worked so hard for.

I am a nurse!I work in a private hospital,we do not receive the same benefits of nurses working in a government hospital, but I am proud that I earn honor and respect from my patients.we skip meals just to give proper and competent care to our clients,we deserve respect.Nurses need politicians who can support and help us,not someone like cynthia villar who brings filipino nurse downn. VOTE NO TO CYNTHIA VILLAR FOR SENATOR!!!

I hope you learn a lot from your own comments. The fact that you do not scrutinize the words coming out from your mouth means you are NOT a very promising senator and it was a good catch for all of the Filipinos. The Bible is true when it says “Out of the abundance of your heart, your mouth speaks!” Your mouth expelled words from your heart revealing how you discount us Filipino nurses all along. Well, These “not so good nurses (because they don’t need to be good!), who don’t need BSN license” have gone through a lot like passing through a hole of a needle just to be world-widely known professionals. For all your know, their names abroad are heavier than your own political fame - so much for it now that you created your own ruin. Well, you really learn lessons the hard way Ms Villar!

I’m a nurse with BSN degree from Chicago and so appalled of what I heard from you, especially from a politician with such a long list accomplishment and popularity.I’m now very doubtful of your accomplishment.Just for your information Filipino nurses here in US.We are professionals and very well respected because of our vital role in excellent patient care and good education from our mother land. Why in the world did you call us room nurse, not so good nurses, tagapagalaga lang,we don’t have to be good. You really put all the Filipino nurses down in the Philippines and abroad and that is a shame coming from a senatorial candidate like you.Well,I guess you are well informed now of who we are and what we do, but it’s really sad for your part because you learned it the hard way.Lastly, you need to apologize to all of us Nurses that you hurt and disrespected.

When I took my son to our local GP, he asked if I knew any Filipino/a nurses who was looking to work in our local surgery. According to this doctor, the surgery was keen to hire a filipino/a nurse as they are not only well trained and highly educated, they take pried of their profession.

    Shame on her.

She looks beautiful but no brain despite her graduate degree from an American institution. She should know that in America, a lot of Filipino nurses went back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner (masters or doctoral program)and they not only practice nursing but also medicine in their specialty area(Family NP, cardiology, pediatric/neonatal, psychiatric, anesthesia, OB-gyn, etc).Nurses in America are not room nurse na mag-aalaga but we are highly educated up to our terminal degree(Doctor of Nursing Practice, PhD, EdD).The comment only showed her real true personality and ignorance, so voting Filipino nurses should not only not vote her but also campaign to all friends and relatives not to vote for her. I just hope that she will not need the care of a nurse at all…………
